Who we are

What we collect and why

• Waitlist signup. Your email address, which site you signed up on, the form you used and the time. We use this to email you when we launch. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw by unsubscribing or emailing us.
• Account. If you create a free account we store your email address, the site you signed up on, your region (United Kingdom, Ireland or other, worked out from your connection when you sign up) and your email preferences, with the time you changed each one. We use these to sign you in by emailed link, to show the right legal notices for your region and to send only the emails you asked for. Lawful basis: performance of a contract for the account; consent for each kind of email, which you can withdraw on your account page. Bookmaker offers are only ever sent to accounts that have confirmed they are 18 or over and switched them on separately.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. Lawful basis: legitimate interests. Logs are kept for a short period.
• Analytics. We use privacy-friendly, cookie-less aggregate analytics (page views, country, device type). No personal profile is built and nothing is shared with advertisers.

Who we share it with

We use processors to run the service: Supabase (database and authentication, EU region), Vercel (hosting and analytics) and Google Workspace (email). Each is bound by a data processing agreement. We do not sell personal data.

Affiliate links and age

Some pages will contain affiliate links to licensed operators. Following a link takes you to a third party with its own privacy policy. This site is for people aged 18 and over; we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries are kept until you unsubscribe or until 12 months after launch, whichever is sooner. Account data is kept while the account is open and deleted within 30 days of closure, except where we must keep records for legal reasons.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. Email privacy@thesharpline.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

Pages you can read without an account set no cookies. When you sign in we set strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in; they hold your session and nothing else. We will update this policy before adding anything else.

We will post any changes here and update the date at the top of this page.
